Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica e dell´Informazione (Department of Electrical and Information Engineering)

The Department of Electrical and Information Engineering (DIEI) has more than 3 decades of experience in research, development and engineering in fields such as AI, automation, power systems, electrical motor drives, sensors and actuators, micro and nano electronics, computer science, information and communication technologies. It has globally 54 Faculty positions, technological equipped laboratories and personnel. It is member of the two centres of excellence of the University of L'Aquila--DEWS (embedded systems) and CETEMS (atmospheric technology and weather forecast). It has a PhD school with about 16 graduated students per year, with many international collaborations.
