Final Call: Nominate for the Best Dissertation Award 2023 by 20 June
Exciting news! The deadline for the Best Dissertation Award 2023 has been extended to June 20th!
Sponsored by Springer, this prestigious award offers a certificate, a prize of EUR 3,000, and the opportunity for the winner to publish their awarded thesis. Additionally, they will be invited to attend the European Computer Science Summit (ECSS) and present their work during the Official Award Ceremony on October 24, 2023. Noteworthy runners-up may also receive recognition and an invitation to join the Award ceremony.
Each Informatics Europe member institution is invited to select an exceptional PhD dissertation defended between the academic years 2021-2022 or 2022-2023 (on or before December 31, 2022) and submit the nomination according to the instructions provided here.
The Award Committee will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
- Originality of the research and methodology
- Quality of the achieved results
- Societal impact of the thesis
- Quality of the presentation
In the event of multiple dissertations receiving equivalent top scores, the one with the highest societal impact score will be selected.
