Dear Members, Welcome to the February edition of our monthly Bulletin. We hope you enjoy it! In this issue: 2021 Academic Leadership Development Course: Leading People in AcademiaAgain in 2021 Informatics Europe provides a unique development opportunity for new and emerging academic leaders in Informatics and Computing through the Online Academic Leadership Development Course: Leading People in Academia. We are glad to announce that the course is enjoying great demand, and we are looking forward to host the first virtual kick-off session on March 11. In six online workshops from March until May, Prof. Geraldine Fitzpatrick and Prof. Austen Rainer will lead the participants to develop leadership skills in the complex academic environment of Informatics. COST Action EUGAIN - European Network for Gender Balance in Informatics 2nd Round of MeetingsOn February 16 and 17, the second round of meetings of the EUGAIN Cost Action took place. Five parallel Working Group (WG) meetings were held in the morning of February 16 and a Core Group (CG) meeting in the afternoon. Each Working Group, with between 10 and 20 members, created a plan on how to achieve its goals and contribute to the overall Action objectives, agreed upon internal communication tools, and defined subgroups to work on specific tasks. The CG, composed of all people with leading positions in the Action, met to share their plans and discuss and prepare for the presentations at the Management Committee (MC) meeting in the following day. ECSS 2021 Main Theme confirmed: "Informatics for a Sustainable Future"The new website for the ECSS 2021 is now online and the main theme "Informatics for a Sustainable Future" confirmed. Save the date for this year’s Summit, which will be held in Madrid from 25 to 27 October, 2021. Further details on the program and speakers will follow soon. Association NewsBoard Meetings
