Member Service: Academic Leadership - Past Webinar and New Development Course

On 25 June 2020 Informatics Europe hosted the webinar "Creating the New Academic Normal for Informatics Researchers", which provided a unique opportunity for Informatics researchers to reflect, and exchange with colleagues from all over Europe, on the impact of the changes resulting from the pandemic on their personal and working lives. You can find more information on the webinar including links to video recordings and further outcomes of the vivid discussion about the emerging New Academic Normal by visiting our news article.

During the webinar, there was a proposal to start a working group exploring the impact of Covid-19 on Informatics research, education, and academic life in general. If you would like to join or chair the working group, please contact us at administration@informatics-europe.org.

Finally, we would like to remind you that in September – November 2020 Informatics Europe will organize an online Academic Leadership Development Course for emerging academic leaders in Informatics and Computing. This will be a highly interactive and practical course by computer scientists for computer scientists, co-led again by Prof. Geraldine Fitzpatrick and Prof. Austen Rainer.
